Ink drawings from the series Sedimentary Symbolic II

Art salvages us from from the maze of signification, called language. Before language there is symbols. Poetry removes the disguise of language and brings us to its origin as the symbol. What, in turn, has the role of opening the symbol tino its origin? Sedimentary excavation of the symbolic yields neither chaos nor order. What remains?

The reproductions aren't very good. However I believe that even if a painting is transsubstantiated perfectly into a photograph, it ends up stale or even, dead. A bad reproduction isn't the worst thing that can happen then, since it at least gives the transsubstantiated painting a chance to keep a sense of 'paintingness'.
